We are so excited to have you here! Below is a list of steps required to become an RBT at SOH and discuss polices and procedures.
To get started, you will meet with Paul to pick up your RBT binder, iPad, set up your Gusto and Slack accounts, create your NPI number, and complete your I9 and Everify documents. You will need to bring two forms of ID for your I9 form. One will need to be a photo ID OR you can just provide your passport. You can contact Paul at 912-320-4378 or paul@spectrumga.com to set up a time to meet.
Then you will participate in orientation with Dobie. You can contact him by email at dobie@spectrumga.com or send him a message in Slack once your account is setup.
All RBTs are required to complete RBT training. We use CentralReach Institute. You will receive an email to be able to set up your account and login to access the training. Click below to access CR Institute.
Staff are required to complete the training and then come into the clinic to engage in hands on training. You will be assigned a Lead to work with during this time. This process will last 2 weeks. Then you will be ready to take the competency exam. Contact Casey if you have any questions.
Staff are required to document their time in CentralReach. Download the powerpoint below to learn how to document your time.
All staff are required to attend a course in Basic Life Support. Click the link below to find a class. You will want to click "Search Classes" and then you will choose a course named BLS Provider. Do not choose one of the courses with the descriptor "Cert at Home" from "Go Get Certified." They are notoriously unreliable.
All staff are required to set up a BACB account prior to taking the competency exam and reviewing the RBT Handbook on the website.
CentralReach is our company management platform. We use it for clinical scheduling, client profiles and data collection, session notes, etc. You also use this platform to request time off. You will receive an email to login provided by Paul.
We pride ourselves on providing effective and high quality ABA services. With that comes high expectations. Here are some of our most important policies that help make us a great place to work and receive services:
Remember that being on time and prepared are essential skills. Frequent tardiness and call outs will result in termination. All staff are required to be present 10 minutes prior scheduled times. All trainees are required to take a one hour lunch break.
Each person at SOH is expected to clean up after themselves and their client and keep the clinic safe and sanitized. All items must be treated with care. Staff are not to access items that belong to someone else or remove items from another clients stimuli box.
SOH has a zero tolerance policy against any form of discrimination, gossip, bullying, or any other unprofessional behavior. Hate has no place at SOH. Every person who enters the building deserves to feel safe and respected.
SOH has an open door policy in which you can always request a meeting with a supervisor or the owner and clinical director, Casey Majewski. You can contact staff through Slack.
Staff must always be within arm's reach of clients to ensure that they are safe. Being on the phone or doing anything other than providing ABA therapy during sessions will result in immediate discharge.
All session notes and timesheets are due on date of service before leaving for the day. No exceptions.
We provide person-centered therapy in which the client guides the service. This means trauma informed and assent based care. You will receive training on these procedures.
